The remote uses 2 AAA batteries (not included). An audible metronome assists with the pacing of the CPR chest compressions.The trainer is powered by 3 AA batteries (not included), or can be plugged in using the included AC adapter. A line out port allows the instructor to plug in external speakers.If the AHA changes the CPR/AED guidelines, or if you need additional languages,the Practi-Trainer hasa changeable plug-in module that allows for language changes or future guidelines updates.The replaceable module means that when ECC guidelines are updated, youonly need to upgrade your plug-in module - no need to buy an entirely new unit or send it out for re-programming.
